Bolshevik Revolution? (scroll down for
answer)
Definition: Bolshevik Revolution, 1917
Vladimir Lenin's slogan was - "Peace,
Land, and Bread." After Czar Nicholas II lost power to a provisional
government, Lenin and the Bolshevik Party seized power in Russia. To
make sure the Czar's supporters didn’t restore him to the throne,
the entire royal family was executed in 1918. The capital of Russia
was soon moved from St. Petersburg to Moscow. After a long civil
war, the Bolshevik, or Communist Party would stay in power for over
80 years.
